FallTech 82709SC5 Arc Flash Max 9 Foot Self Retracting Kevlar Web Lifeline with steel carabiner, swivel eye and aluminum rebar hook. Internal locking pawls lock up quickly within inches in event of a fall. Class B SRL limits average fall arrest forces to 1,125 lbs with maximum arrest distance of 54 inches when anchored up to 5 feet below back D-ring. When anchored above back D-ring arrest distance is limited to 26 inches. Safely provides fall protection after an Arc Flash or Blast up to 40 cal/cm2. Can also be used in welding applications. Comes with 9 feet of 3/4 inch Kevlar lifeline webbing. External shock absorber has Kevlar/Nomex protective cover. Alloy swivel eye prevents webbing from twisting. ASTM tested to F887-13. Light weight aluminum rebar hook for use with larger anchor points. DuraTech Arc Flash Max SRL reduces the users minimum fall clearance required. If the SRL is anchored directly overhead with no swing fall the minimum required fall clearance from work surface to nearest lower level or obstruction is 5 feet. The same scenario using a 6 foot shock absorbing lanyard would require a fall clearance of 18-1/2 feet from anchor height to next lower level.
